StoryDev ("we," "us," or "our") operates storydevapp.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.

Your content: Stories, outlines, characters, notes, and other creative content you create or save within StoryDev.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interactions with the service — collected to improve the product.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system — collected automatically when you use the service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties
We do not use your stories or creative content to train AI models
We do not collect payment details directly — payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe)

To provide, maintain, and improve the StoryDev service
To send you important account and service communications
To analyze usage patterns and improve features (using aggregated, non-identifiable data)
To respond to support requests
To comply with legal obligations

4. Your Stories Are Private

Your creative work belongs to you. We store your content to deliver the service, but we do not read, sell, or use your stories for any purpose beyond providing the service to you. Your stories are not used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

5. AI Processing

StoryDev uses privacy-first AI models to power writing assistance features. When you use AI features, relevant portions of your content are sent to AI providers for processing. We select AI partners with strong privacy commitments and data processing agreements. Content sent to AI providers is not used for model training.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate StoryDev:

Hosting: Our servers are hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns
Payments: Stripe processes payments; we never see your full card number

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use of StoryDev after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. TikTok Integration

StoryDev offers an optional integration with TikTok that allows you to publish content to your TikTok account directly from our platform. When you connect your TikTok account, the following applies:

Data accessed: We access your basic TikTok profile information (display name and avatar) solely to authenticate your session and confirm your identity.
Content publishing: With your explicit request, we may upload video or carousel content to your TikTok account on your behalf. We only publish content you have created and approved within StoryDev.
Data storage: We do not store your TikTok credentials. Your TikTok access token is used only during your active session to perform the actions you request.
No sharing: We do not share your TikTok account data with any third parties.
Revoking access: You can disconnect StoryDev from your TikTok account at any time via TikTok's connected apps settings at tiktok.com/setting.

Our use of TikTok APIs is subject to TikTok's Terms of Service and TikTok's Privacy Policy.
